    Based on years of experience in metallurgical enterprises, we have visited and consulted many related professionals in metallurgical enterprises, and inquired a large number of technical data at home and abroad. It is believed that most of the factors affecting rolling mill bearing life under normal working conditions are caused by rolling mill bearing lubrication (see FIG. 1).According to the statistics, the mill bearing damage caused by poor lubrication and sealing accounts for about 37% of the total bearing failure, which is the first of many reasons.

   However, with the rapid development of metallurgical equipment in order to be suitable for high-speed production of high energy and the development of high precision in rolling products, the lubrication technology began to develop from simple lubrication mode of grease lubrication to circulating oil and oil (oil mist) lubrication.Because under the condition of high speed, USES the advanced oil and gas, oil mist lubrication technology, not only is beneficial to improve the lubrication conditions, namely the bearing inner cavity normal lubrication condition can get sufficient lubrication parts, also can effectively, inside the bearing due to rotating friction generated by the friction heat to take, by means of fluid lubrication and can make the adaptation of the bearing inner cavity through the oil filter remove in time.This makes the rolling mill bearings work under ideal lubrication conditions, which will significantly reduce bearing consumption.
    At present, the bearing is still lubricated by grease. The grease with suitable viscosity and good extreme pressure resistance should be selected according to the working condition of the bearing.When the speed is high, use high temperature resistant grease.The amount of grease filling should be appropriate. At low speed and heavy load, the amount of grease can account for about 1/2 of the bearing space, and at high speed and light load, it is better to inject 1/3 of the inner space of the bearing.Otherwise, extrusion leakage of grease will be caused in the work, which will not only waste oil, increase costs, but also pollute the environment, and at high speed will increase the mechanical friction heat of bearing cavity, serious cases will accelerate the aging of grease failure.It should be noted that the grease of different brands cannot be mixed, so that the oil film on the working surface of rolling mill bearing is always in normal working state.
