Crossed tapered roller bearing

The crossed tapered roller bearing has two sets of raceways and rollers, combined at right angles to each other, with rollers staggered. Unlike crossed cylindrical roller bearing, the rolling elements are tapered rollers. It saves space and pedestal materials because of its cross-sectional height similar to that of a single-row bearing. The large cone angle and tapered geometry make the overall effective span of the bearing several times the width of the bearing itself. The bearing can withstand high overturning moment and is widely used in large gear-hobbing machines, industrial robots, high-speed vertical lathe, high-precision worktables, vertical boring machines, grinding machine spindles, etc.
